Core Counseling Strategies (“CCS,” the “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our privacy practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information through our website, www.corecounselingstrategies.com, and in connection with our services (collectively, our “Services”).
This Privacy Statement describes the types of personal information we collect on the Site, how we may use that information and with whom we may share it. The Privacy Statement also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the personal information. We also tell you how you can reach us to ask us to update your preferences regarding how we communicate with you or answer any questions you may have about our privacy practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, and the latest version will be posted here. Please review it regularly.
Information We Collect
- You may choose to provide us with personal information (such as name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Payment information, such as your payment card number and expiration date.
- Date of birth.
- The geolocation of your device (such as if you opt to use the “Find Near Me” feature of the mobile-optimized portion of our websites).
- Certain information about your Core Counseling Strategies or William (Wil) Singleton purchases, returns or exchanges.
- Personal information in communications and other content you submit, such as photographs, product information and details about your projects and property.
- Social media IDs, such as Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, YouTube and/or TikTok
- Podcast IDs, such as Apple Podcasts, audible, iHeart Podcasts, Spotify

How We Use the Information We Collect

Sharing of Information
We may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law, regulation or legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (ii) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical, financial or other harm, injury or loss; (iv) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual unlawful activity; or (v) to assist in collecting debt owed by you.
We reserve the right to transfer personal information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including, without limitation, in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation). Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use personal information you have provided to us in a manner that is consistent with our Privacy Statement.
Information Regarding Your Health Care
Information regarding your health care, including payment for health care, is protected by two federal laws: the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), 42 U.S.C. Sec. 1320d et seq., 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164, and the Confidentiality Law, 42 U.S.C. Sec. 290 dd-2, 42 C.F.R. Part 2. Under these laws, Core Counseling Strategies may not say to a person outside Core Counseling Strategies that you attend the program, nor may Core Counseling Strategies disclose any information identifying you as an alcohol or drug abuser, or disclose any other protected information except as permitted by federal law.
Core Counseling Strategies must obtain your written consent before it can disclose information about you for payment purposes. For example, Core Counseling Strategies may obtain your written consent before it can disclose information to your health insurer in order to be paid for services. Generally, you must also sign a written consent before Core Counseling Strategies can share information for treatment purposes or for your health care operations. However, federal law permits Core Counseling Strategies to disclose information without your written consent:
- Pursuant to an agreement with a qualified service organization/business associate;
- To report a crime committed on Core Counseling Strategies’ premises or against Core Counseling Strategies’ personnel;
- To medical personnel in a medical emergency;
- To appropriate authorities to report suspected child abuse or neglect;
- As allowed by court order.
Before Core Counseling Strategies can use or disclose any information about your health in a manner which is not described above, it must first obtain your specific written consent allowing it to make the disclosure. Any such written consent may be revoked by you in writing.
Your Rights
Under HIPAA you have the right to request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures of your health information. Core Counseling Strategies is not required to agree to any restrictions you request, but if it does agree then it is bound by that agreement and may not use or disclose any information which you have restricted except as necessary in a medical emergency.
Under HIPAA you have the right to inspect and copy your own health information obtained by Core Counseling Strategies except to the extent that the information contains psychotherapy notes or information compiled for use in a civil, criminal, administrative proceeding or in other limited circumstances.
Under HIPAA you also have the right, with some exceptions, to amend health care information maintained in Core Counseling Strategies’ records, and to request and receive and accounting of disclosures of your health related information made by Core Counseling Strategies during the six years prior to your request. You also have the right to receive a paper copy of this notice.
Duties
Core Counseling Strategies is required by law to maintain the privacy of your health information and to provide you with notice of its legal duties and privacy practices with respect to your health information. Core Counseling Strategies is required by law to abide by the terms of this notice. Core Counseling Strategies reserves the right to change the terms of this notice and to make new notice provisions effective for all protected information it maintains. All requests should be made in writing to the contact listed as the bottom of this notice.
Complaints and Reporting Violations
You may complain to Core Counseling Strategies and the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services if you believe that your privacy rights have been violated under HIPAA. You may complain to us in writing using the information listed in this form. At your request we will also provide you with the address of the US Department of Health and Human Services. We support your right to the privacy of your health information. You will not be retaliated against for filing such a complaint.
Violation of the Confidentiality Law by a program is a crime. Suspected violations of the Confidentiality Law may be reported to the United States Attorney in the district where the violation occurred.
